Position Summary

AGRANA Fruit is seeking a Product Developer to join ourProduct Development team at our Corporate Headquarters in Brecksville OH. The NPD Assistant supports Product Developers in the successful development and execution of projects by conducting laboratory and product development activities including flavoring coloring physical and chemical analyses sample preparation for shipment and project follow-up updates. The role also contributes to proactive innovation initiatives and customer presentations while ensuring laboratory operations are completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Innovation

Supports Product Developers in the batching/unitizing of experimental formulas and creation of prototypes. Contributes to innovation activities through preparing structured concept tastings and documenting ballot results.

Sample Preparation & Product Testing

Prepares mixes and evaluates laboratory samples including integrating fruit preparations into final product applications. Aides in preparation of samples for shipment customers in accordance with internal standards.

Flavor Color and Sensory Evaluation

Following written formula and process directions performs flavor and color development work of applicable products such as yogurt ice cream and baked goods.

PhysicalChemical and Analytical Testing

Conducts physical organoleptic and quality control analyses on NPD lab Pilot plant and rawmaterial samples. Tests may include but are not limited to Brix pH rheological measures color water activity texture analysis drained weight bake tests titratable acidity and the like.

Data Management and Documentation

Records and maintains analytical results flavor and color data and project information within SAP and supporting documentation systems.

Equipment and Laboratory Maintenance

Maintains calibration and proper functioning of laboratory equipment. Ensures laboratory organization cleanliness and availability of consumables while supporting hygienic practices and wastereduction initiatives.

Quality and Food Safety Systems

Supports activities related to ISO 9001 ISO 22000 and other applicable quality and foodsafety programs. Adheres to established GMPs and GLPs.

Operational Support

Provides assistance with NPD operational tasks such as ingredient unitizing sample production support primary data entry and inventory maintenance to meet departmental requirements.

Meetings and Collaboration

Participates in daily laboratory standup meetings R&D team meetings and crossfunctional discussions to support alignment communication and project execution.

Required Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required some college experience preferred
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Programs
• Ability to multi-task
• Available for overtime or weekend work
• Laboratory experience in a quality control environment is a plus
