Job Summary
Department: Neurology; Work Hours: Part time 7.5 hours per week coverage at Beaver and Sewickley campus. Primarily daylight with no weekends.
Basic Function: The Neurology Technician is responsible for the provision of EEG testing for the inpatient and outpatient population. Presents the completed exam for interpretation by the physician. Performs the clerical duties in support of the services provided.
Qualifications: High school graduate/GED required. Must have technical knowledge gained through successful completion of an EEGtraining program or through documented comparable experience in a medicalfacility. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred: Registered through the American Board of Registered EEG Technologists(ABRET) or registry eligible. Previous neurological testing experience (EEG NCV EMG )Proficiency in the principles of human anatomy electrical stimulus and medical terminology.
