Job Summary
As our Neuro Procedures Tech you will perform all aspects of various neurodiagnostic testing reporting results to clinicians.
Every day you will conduct Electroencephalograms (Long-Term Routine and Ambulatory) multi-modality Evoked Potentials and Nerve Conduction Studies.
To be successful in this role you will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and have an exceptional ability to collect diagnostic quality data.
- Conducting Electroencephalograms (Long-Term Routine and Ambulatory) multi-modality Evoked Potentials and Nerve Conduction Studies.
- May be required to learn and perform additional testing as technology changes and new testing methodologies are introduced.
- Communicate effectively with physicians patients clinical staff department heads and administrative personnel. Must be able to track preventive maintenance needs of all department equipment.
- Collect diagnostic quality data and generate the appropriate reports for physician interpretation.
- Organize and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot all associated equipment.
Required:
- Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic Technology Program Accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education or equivalent formal training or registry eligible with 3-5 years experience in EEG/EvokedPotentials/EMG-Nerve Conduction Studies
- Basic Life Support - CPR (AHA BLS)
Ability to collect diagnostic quality data and generate the appropriate reports for physician interpretation.
Ability to organize and adjust priorities accordingly.
Ability to calibrate and troubleshoot all associated equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients medical staff management and other employees.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Passion for excellence in the care of patients and provision of timely and quality service.
Basic computer skills.
Operational knowledge of all involved neurodiagnostic equipment.
Ability to ascertain clinically sound diagnostic studies.
Effective clinical interaction regarding studies with ordering physicians.
Knowledge of safety standards for neurodiagnostic testing.
Maintains accurate records as required.
Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive information.
Adheres to all policies and procedures as they apply to study performance and safety attendance and personal appearance.
Sustains productive workload of scheduled studies
