Network Administrator

Sentinel is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support our client in Schaumburg IL. This is a six-month onsite contract opportunity for a hands-on networking professional with strong Fortinet expertise and a background in network security design and infrastructure administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across the Fortinet ecosystem including firewalls switches analyzers and security platforms as well as expertise in cybersecurity remediation and troubleshooting complex network environments. This is an onsite position at the Schaumburg Illinois office.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Information Technology or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Fortinet networking and security products.
• Strong experience with FortiGate firewalls FortiSwitch FortiAnalyzer and related Fortinet technologies.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing cybersecurity advisories vulnerabilities and remediation activities.
• Advanced understanding of networking protocols routing switching wireless technologies and network security best practices.
• Experience with network design implementation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery incident response and business continuity planning.
• Previous experience working within local government municipal or public sector environments would be preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Occasional after-hours support will be required for maintenance windows upgrades and emergency issues.
• The candidate must have a car as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
• A valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a can-do attitude

Compensation:

$48/hr - $58/hr
