A Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining configuring and supporting an organizations computer networks. This includes ensuring reliable connectivity security and performance of LAN WAN and cloud-based networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Install configure and maintain network hardware (routers switches firewalls)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Manage user access permissions and network security
- Perform system backups and disaster recovery planning
- Configure VPNs and remote access solutions
- Apply patches updates and security protocols
- Maintain documentation of network infrastructure
Required Skills
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS DHCP)
- Experience with routers switches and firewalls
