Job Summary
SUMMARY:
Performs a wide variety of quality control duties requiring the exercise of considerable judgment to work independently advise and assist other Quality Control personnel modify standard procedures to meet new conditionsand make quality decisions guided by knowledge and precedent and in accordance with company policies.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Responsible Level III duties for Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (Method A and Method D)andRadiographic Testing with X-ray FilmandNon Film(CR DDA)
- Establish X-rayand FPITechniques interpret specifications and codes designatetest methods as required by part specific requirements.
- Maintain complete NDT certification programin accordance withNAS 410 SNT-TC-1A and applicable customer specifications as the Responsible Level III for the business operation.
- Review purchase ordersblueprintsand specifications for all requirements applicable to the raw material all requirements are part of the manufacturing process and inspection plans.
- Conduct internal and external audits asrequired.
- Technical lead and responsible person for customer NDT audits and NADCAP NDT audits asrequired.
- Communicate material and non-destructive test requirements and results to casting supervision and personnel and coordinate test results and coordinate paperworkrequiredfor manufacturing processes inspection methodsand nondestructive testing requirements.
- Act as a liaison between customer and companies in the establishment of quality standards and resolution of issues related to qualityand visit customer facilities on quality related issues asrequired.
- Work with Engineering Quality ControlandOperationstoestablishpriorities.
- Reviewproductrouting instruct personnelandestablishwritten controls asrequired.
- Write and approve technical content and adequacy of NDT procedures
- Act as Radiation Safety Officermonitoringradiation exposure for NDT X-raypersonnel.
- Perform any other associated duties as directed by management.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
3-4 yearundergraduate degree in science or engineering with at least one year ofNDTLevel 2 experience; or:two yearsof engineering or science study at a technical school college or university with at least two years of NDT Level 2 experience; or: a high school diploma with at least four years of NDT Level 2 experiencein the applicable methods.
ASNT Certification and experience in RadiographicTesting& PenetrantTestingor Certification asRT and PTLevel III to NAS 410 Requirements.
Thorough knowledge of investment casting processes technologies and quality assurance methods and techniques materialsand requirementsispreferred.
