The Opportunity
As a Scheduler within the Nominations and Scheduling West team you will support daily natural gas transportation and storage operations across TC Energys U.S. pipeline and storage assets. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely scheduling confirmations and operational alignment with interconnect operators and customers.
This role operates in a dynamic fast-paced environment where accuracy responsiveness and collaboration are essential to maintaining reliable service and compliance with tariff and operational requirements.
Reporting to the Manager of Nominations and Scheduling West this position operates on a rotational schedule that provides extended operational coverage including regular evening weekend and holiday hours.
What Youll Do
Operational Scheduling & Execution
- Execute scheduling activities in a deadline-driven environment where accuracy and attention to detail is critical to operational success
- Schedule natural gas pipeline and storage capacity across multiple assets
- Confirm scheduled activity with pipeline operators and interconnects
- Monitor storage park & loan activity and power plant operations to ensure
- compliance with tariff and service requirements
- Update operational pipeline capacity and location information as required
Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as a point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders on all scheduling matters
- Respond to customer and operator inquiries related to nominations capacity scheduling and confirmations
- Assist customers with nominations and provide training and support on transactional system functionality
Collaboration & Coverage
- Work collaboratively across commercial operations measurement and accounting teams to resolve operational issues
- Support time-sensitive pipeline operations by providing coverage including evenings weekends and holidays as part of a rotational team schedule
- Provide additional coverage during peak periods critical operational events or significant system activities
- Support operations from alternate work locations as needed during critical weather or system events as needed
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or 4 years of related work experience
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain complex operational concepts clearly
- Ability to manage tasks within fixed and tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a rotational team

- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint Access)
- Familiarity with interstate natural gas pipeline tariffs contracts and operations
- Working knowledge of NAESB standards related to nominations scheduling and interconnect confirmations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scheduling natural gas for interstate pipeline and/or storage assets
- Experience working with pipeline transactional and scheduling systems
- Experience working with AI tools for daily operations innovation and process improvements
- Working knowledge of TC Energys U.S. natural gas pipeline and storage assets
