Museum Clerical Helper Temporary

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Photograph Collections Objects
2. Inputting 2026 acquisitions in TMS
3. Numbering/Labeling of 150 Objects
4. Preparation and research ahead of ISU Surplus art sale (est. October) including pricing of 700 objects
5. Creation of deaccession and accession 800 physical files 2025-2026
6. Assist Collections Manager in preparation for transition to TMS Collections (cloud-based system)
7. Research into and the creation of Alt text for images in TMS that feed into eMuseums
8. Draft and summarize permanent and loaned object research as assigned
9. Review photo slides to confirm a photo in TMS exists
10. Add drawing dimensions to Pub Pub catalog
11. Confirm object location in permanent collection
12. Draft exhibit labels as assigned
13. Provide back-up support for all UM locations
14. Inventory/photography for TMS related to current and upcoming exhibitions

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read write and follow directions

Preferred Qualifications:
4 years of Museum experience
