About the Role:

An established and highly respected public law practice is seeking a Municipal Finance Associate with 3 6 years of experience to join its growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about public finance infrastructure development and advising public sector clients on sophisticated financing transactions.

In this role you will work closely with public agencies underwriters lenders borrowers and other stakeholders on a broad range of municipal finance matters. You will gain significant responsibility direct client interaction and exposure to complex financing structures while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney who enjoys solving complex legal and regulatory challenges thrives in a collaborative setting and is looking to build a long-term career in public law and municipal finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise public agencies underwriters lenders and borrowers on municipal finance transactions.
• Assist with bond financings public infrastructure projects and other public finance matters.
• Draft and negotiate financing documents bond-related agreements disclosure documents and transaction materials.
• Conduct due diligence and review financing structures for legal and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze federal state and local laws impacting municipal finance transactions.
• Support transaction management from inception through closing.
• Collaborate with clients financial advisors bond counsel underwriters and other transaction participants.
• Research and provide guidance on public finance regulations and emerging legal developments.
• Prepare legal memoranda opinions and client-facing advisory materials.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic financing solutions.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• 3 6 years of experience assisting clients with municipal finance matters.
• Experience representing public agencies underwriters lenders or borrowers in municipal finance transactions.
• Experience drafting transaction documents conducting due diligence and supporting transaction management.
• Strong understanding of financing structures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Excellent writing research drafting analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated detail-oriented and team-focused approach.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
