Job Title: Multispecialty Ultrasound / Vascular Technologist
Location: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital
Type: Contract 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift 4x10 Hours 7:00 AM 5:30 PM 40 Hours Per Week On-Call Required Weekends On-Call Rotation
Pay Rate: $60 $65/hour (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Multispecialty Ultrasound / Vascular Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies across multiple specialties including general abdominal and small parts ultrasound.
Perform OB and fetal ultrasound examinations.
Perform breast imaging and transvaginal ultrasound procedures.
Conduct vascular studies including arterial and venous imaging.
Perform echocardiography studies including adult echo contrast echo and stress echo treadmill studies.
Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure high-quality imaging for physician interpretation.
Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
Maintain accurate imaging records and ensure proper transfer to PACS systems.
Collaborate with radiologists cardiologists and other healthcare providers.
Ensure proper equipment maintenance calibration and safety protocols.
Follow hospital policies infection control guidelines and safety standards.
Maintain patient confidentiality and professional documentation standards.
Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled including weekdays and weekends.
Support workflow efficiency in a high-volume acute care environment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer).
Strong experience in multiple modalities (Full-Body Tech required) including General Ultrasound OB/Fetal Breast Imaging Transvaginal Vascular Ultrasound and Echocardiography.
Registered with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or equivalent certification.
Current BLS certification (AHA required).
Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics anatomy and imaging techniques.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
Excellent communication documentation and patient care skills.
Ability to handle on-call responsibilities including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a high-acuity acute care hospital environment.
Experience performing advanced vascular and echocardiography studies.
Strong multitasking and workflow management skills.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
