PowerSouth Energy Cooperative headquartered in Andalusia AL is a generation and transmission (G&T) electric cooperative with 22 distribution members - 18 electric distribution systems and four municipal electric systems - in Alabama and northwest Florida. JOB SUMMARY & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The purpose of this position is to provide reliable quality services with audio/video multimedia webcasting video conferencing and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) services in such a way that serves the needs of and builds relationships with member systems PowerSouth employees and other community organizations and partners. This position requires a Bachelors degree in Broadcast Technology Video Production Photography Multimedia Information Systems Networking or a related lieu of a Bachelors degree this position requires an Associate degree and two (2) years of experience in the use of electronic media production and multimedia and AV systems lieu of a degree four (4) years of experience in the use of electronic media production and multimedia and AV systems integration may be considered. Basic knowledge of desktop applications and basic knowledge of industry technologies is desired. This position requires competency in MS-Windows and PC applications PC hardware maintenance software installation PC upgrades connecting and maintaining peripherals maintaining and installing PC-AV integration. The incumbent must be able to achieve required AV certification credentials within one (1) year of employment maintain required certification credentials and participate in ongoing AV training related to operation troubleshooting and maintenance of various equipment and UAS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for requests including maintenance and troubleshooting of in-house audio/video control systems in the PowerSouth conference rooms and boardroom computer networking and assists with AV system integration for the purpose of ensuring audio-visual equipment is set up and operational in all PowerSouth conference rooms and boardroom.
• Responsible for the set up and installation of equipment such as microphones speakers audio mixers amplifiers video screens projectors video monitors recording equipment connecting wires and cables for events and functions such as meetings and conventions presentations and news conferences during the regular work week after hours and occasionally weekends for on-site and off-site meeting locations.
• Serves as visual observer/spotter and assists PowerSouths UAS pilot with regulatory technical and operational use of the UAS; assists with coordination evaluation and compliance of FAA rules and regulations and other regulatory bodies on obtaining waivers and permissions for accessing complex airspace; assists with requests for use of UAS applicable corporate procedures documentation and asset maintenance and project execution.
• Assists in providing photography videography and creative services for PowerSouth and its distribution members during the regular work week after hours and some weekends.
• Responsible for ensuring the success of PowerSouth by promoting teamwork group goals and objectives properly communicating and cooperating within the PowerSouth organization and with member systems as well as demonstrating and promoting standards of respect and dignity accountability integrity and trustworthiness.
