Multicraft ScaffoldInsulator
Job Summary
The Multicraft Insulator/Scaffold Builder will perform a combination of scaffold construction/dismantling and mecahnical insulation work. This role supports maintenance activities across the site and requires the ability to work safely efficiently and collaboratively with multiple crafts.
Responsibilities
Scaffold:
- Identify tools materials and safety risks associated with scaffold tasks.
- Measure mark cut and prepare wooden or metal materials to specifications.
- Assist with construction reinforcement modification and dismantling of scaffolds
- Build wooden scaffolds decks steps bulletin boards and other auxiliary structures.
- Perform general site cleanup and maintain an organized work area.
Insulation:
- Apply and remove insulation on piping ductwork and mechanical systems.
- Select appropriate insulation types and materials based on specifications.
- Measure cut and install insulation using adhesives tape staples or wire bands.
- Install aluminum plastic canvas or metal jacketing to protect insulation.
- Fabricate and install metal covers to protect insulated systems from weather or damage.
General Craft Support:
- Assist other crafts when not actively performing scaffold or insulation work.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Follow all Zachry safety rules procedures and values.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of industrial construction or refinery experience.
- Experience in scaffolding insulation and metal work.
- Good problem-solving ability and reading comprehension.
- Ability to work 5 days per week and overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to meet all physical demands and pre-employment requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Clear MVR Check.
- Commitment to Zachrys safety culture.
- Must have required tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Former Zachry or Zachry ROFd employee.
- NCCER Industrial Carpenter/Scaffold and or NCCER Insulation certification.
- Formal technical training
Physical Demands
- Ability to work at heights in confined spaces and in varying weather conditions.
- Use of PPE including hard hat safety glasses gloves respirators and work boots.
- Ability to lift carry and move materials safely.
- Frequent standing walking climbing bending and manual took use.
- Ability to communicate in person by phone and by radio.
