GENERAL SUMMARY:
Team member is responsible for the overall operation of a minimum of two multiple spindle screw machines. Works from blueprints and responsible for quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required.Qualified candidates must have knowledge of blueprints and gaging. Must have prior experience with multi-spindle screw machines.
Duties include but are not limited to: Observe blueprints for all dimensions and requirements to assure maximum quality and production. Must be capable of operating a minimum of two multi-spindle screw machines at maximum quality while meeting rate standards. Responsible for sharpening basic cutting tools including cut off blades form tools shave tools and proper fluid levels in machines understand and interpret quality data from the SPC system charts observe blueprints for all dimensions and requirements to assure maximum quality and production maintain a clean safe and efficient work environment and other assignments as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employee will be exposed to the noise fumes and temperature extremes typically found in a light manufacturing environment. Risk of injury from being in close proximity of operating machinery is possible but unlikely if proper safety precautions are followed. Lifting requirements for this position dictate that the employee must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 40# on a repetitive basis and a maximum of 80# on an occasional basis.
All employees must wear PPE which includes hearing protection and safety glasses both of which are provided by RIMA and slip resistant shoes which the employee provides. RIMA has a prescription safety glass program and safety shoe reimbursement program that is available to employees after 90 days of employment.
