JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary: Mule Opr - Storm Lake Pork Plant

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to the following:

• Lift boxed product from conveyors and stack onto pallets including consolidating partial pallets.
• Operate equipment including inverters stretch wrappers power industrial trucks and forklifts.
• Load trailers and perform trailer washout duties.
• Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
• Scan and label boxes maintain inventory accuracy and complete required documentation.
• Work in temperatures ranging from -30F to 100F.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions including rain sleet snow and extreme heat.
• Perform duties that include walking climbing ladders standing bending pushing pulling reaching and working on concrete surfaces throughout the shift.
• Lift carry and stack boxes weighing 20 to 110 pounds.
• Maintain productivity quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able and willing to frequently lift carry push pull and stack materials weighing 20 to 110 pounds.
• Must be able and willing to stand and walk for extended periods up to 8-10 hours per shift.
• Must be able and willing to bend stoop squat climb ladders reach overhead and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Must be able and willing to work on concrete surfaces for prolonged periods.
• Must be able and willing to work in temperatures ranging from -30F to 100F.
• Must be able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including rain sleet snow and extreme heat.
• Must be able and willing to safely operate forklifts power industrial trucks and other assigned equipment.
• Must be able and willing to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety requirements.
