Role Overview: This role involves administering treatments interpreting telemetry data coordinating care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient recovery and safety.
Requirements:
- Two (2) years experience required.
- Neuro experience preferred not required.
- 1 year of EPIC charting experience required.
- Flu Vaccine Required No Exemptions.
- Required certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS.
- Active SC license required
- Teaching Hospital experience preferred.
- 3 years experience within specialty required for 1st time travelers. Travelers will be required to complete an EKG exam.
- Traveler must have some Urology and Vascular experience.
- Travelers need MS/Tel comp.
Clinical Skills:
- Required: IV therapy/Phlebotomy Gastrointestinal Heparin Protocols Work Settings: MS/Tele and Respiratory Genitourinary/Renal Continuous Bladder Irrigation
- Preferred: Accessing/Managing Ports Blood Product Administration Central line care/management Peripheral Line Care/Management PICC line management Starting and maintaining IVs Feeding tube care and management PCA Isolation Precautions/PPE Wound Care/Wound Vac Nasal Cannula Oxygen tanks Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management Renal failure
Special Procedures:
- Use Vendor Neutral Summary Notes.
- The traveler will have 5-6 med-surgical patients non- monitor. Length of stay for our patients is 1-2 days. Must do dressing changes; provide care for patients with wound vacs and drains. Traveler must have some Urology and Vascular experience.
Schedule:
- Shift hours: Nights 3 x 12 hr. 1900-0730.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other but may vary based on need.
- Required Float as needed.
