Introduction
TheMaryland School for the Deaf provides an inclusive language-rich environmentfor deaf and hard of hearing students from birth through age 21. This is an 11 month school year position. This position does notwork when school is closed during winter break spring break and during thesummer months.

Main Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for dietary department set up for all meals preparing salad bar line preparation dietary clean up and documentation of product usage in accordance with prescribed procedures and applicable health and sanitation regulations and standards. This position operates the dish machine or 3 compartment sink and performs related sanitation duties.
POSITION DUTIES
The incumbent is responsible for breaking down and cleaning upafter breakfast lunch and dinner as directed; serving meals from cafeterialine for breakfast lunch and dinner as directed; and setting up the cafeterialine for breakfast lunch and dinner. The employee will prepare dessertsfor lunch and dinner as well as set up the salad bar for lunch anddinner. The incumbent will prepare special food requests foroutings banquets holidays and graduation. The incumbent is responsiblefor preparing in-cafeteria-suspension and in-school-suspension meals workstudy meals and health center incumbent will operatedish machine and clean and sanitize work areas and equipment. Theemployee will clean kitchen area and all hand sinks replenish soap and papertowels when needed. The incumbent will empty all small trash cans andreplace liner bags at the end of the shift. The employee will assist indining area with cleaning set up water and juice for lunch and dinner recorddish machine temperature. This position does require heavy duty cleaning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Willing to learn American Sign Language.
LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand on feet for extended periods oftime.
LICENSES REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operators license valid in the State of Maryland.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
