Job Summary

Title: MRI Technologist

Location: New York NY

Duration: Contract (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: Friday Saturday & Sunday
Shift: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 34.5 Hours

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform advanced MRI imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety comfort and diagnostic image quality. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in MRI procedures cross-sectional anatomy and MRI safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology

  • Active New York State License (L.R.T.)

  • ARRT Certification required

  • MRI Certification required

  • Injection Certification required

  • Strong knowledge of MRI physics anatomy physiology and imaging procedures

  • Excellent technical communication and patient care skills

  • Ability to work independently and maintain MRI safety standards

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols

  • Position patients and MRI coils for optimal image quality

  • Review MRI safety questionnaires before procedures

  • Educate patients regarding MRI exams and preparation requirements

  • Evaluate image quality and transmit studies to PACS

  • Complete and document studies in the Radiology Information System

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI rooms and equipment

  • Schedule examinations and update patient tracking information

  • Assist physicians during procedures when required

  • Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance concerns

  • Adhere to MRI safety guidelines and infection control policies

  • Perform related clerical and administrative duties as needed

  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of MRI experience

  • Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging environments
