Job Summary

Job Title: MRI Technologist

Location: Columbia SC

Schedule: Tuesday Friday 8:00 AM 6:30 PM

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in both acute care and outpatient settings. The MRI Technologist will operate advanced imaging equipment ensure patient safety administer contrast media when required and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols

  • Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images

  • Administer and monitor contrast media as required

  • Start peripheral IVs for imaging procedures

  • Evaluate image quality and ensure accurate image transmission

  • Follow MRI safety standards and infection control procedures

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records in EPIC

  • Communicate effectively with radiologists physicians and healthcare staff

  • Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed

  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of MRI equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience

  • Active South Carolina MRI licensure/registration

  • ARRT MRI Certification

  • Current BLS Certification

  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC charting experience

  • Strong knowledge of MRI imaging protocols and patient safety

  • Experience with adult acute care and outpatient imaging

Required Clinical Experience:

  • Chest abdomen pelvis and head imaging (with and without contrast)

  • Musculoskeletal trauma imaging

  • Cervical thoracic and lumbar spine imaging

  • Contrast preparation and administration

  • Peripheral IV insertion

  • Isolation precautions and infection control procedures

  • Experience with PACS systems

  • Experience with Philips Siemens Toshiba and similar imaging equipment

  • Floating may be required based on staffing needs and qualifications
