Location: New York NY
Facility: Mount Sinai Health System
Duration: Contract
Schedule: 3x12 (8:00 AM 8:00 PM) 34.5 hours/week

Job Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role requires strong technical expertise patient safety awareness and adherence to radiology protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI imaging procedures following departmental protocols

  • Position patients and coils for optimal image quality

  • Provide patient education regarding MRI procedures and safety instructions

  • Review patient safety questionnaires before scanning

  • Ensure proper labeling of all MRI images per SOP

  • Evaluate image quality for diagnostic acceptability

  • Ensure timely transmission of images to PACS system

  • Complete all studies in RIS/IDX system accurately

  • Maintain MRI suite cleanliness and infection control standards

  • Ensure strict MRI safety compliance (ferromagnetic hazard prevention)

  • Schedule and document imaging exams in RIS

  • Monitor and report equipment issues or safety concerns

  • Assist physicians during imaging procedures when required

  • Maintain accurate patient tracking and documentation

Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program

  • Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology

  • ARRT MRI Registry Certification required

  • BLS / BCLS Certification required

  • Strong knowledge of MRI physics anatomy and physiology

  • Minimum 2 years MRI experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a high-volume hospital setting

Work Schedule
  • 3 days per week (3x12 shifts)

  • 8:00 AM 8:00 PM

  • Total: 34.5 hours/week
