Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading regional teaching hospital in Columbia South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care MRI experience proficiency with multiple imaging systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment serving patients across all age groups.

Shift Details
  • Day Shift 3x12s
  • Schedule: Friday / Saturday / Sunday
  • Hours: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures in acute care and outpatient settings
  • Conduct imaging studies including chest abdomen pelvis head spine and musculoskeletal exams with and without contrast
  • Prepare and administer contrast media safely
  • Start and maintain peripheral IVs
  • Ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety standards
  • Operate MRI equipment and PACS systems efficiently
  • Follow isolation precautions and department safety protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists physicians and healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care
  • Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed per facility policy
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
  • Active SCQRSA License required
  • ARRT (MR) Certification required
  • BLS Certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with Philips Siemens Toshiba and PACS systems preferred
  • Must be comfortable working with patients of all age groups from neonates to older adults
  • First-time travelers not accepted
Required Clinical Skills
  • MRI imaging with and without contrast
  • Acute care and outpatient MRI procedures
  • Spine imaging (cervical thoracic lumbar)
  • Musculoskeletal trauma imaging
  • Contrast preparation and administration
  • Peripheral IV insertion
  • PACS proficiency
  • Isolation precaution protocols
