Mover I

University Facility Services Events department is looking for a career minded candidate to join our team as a Mover. The Special Events Team cares for the beautiful University of Arizona campus employees and campus community. We are interested in applicants who are passionate about the fun and exciting world of Special Events. From sporting events to special dinners our staff ensures the clean and orderly planning of special events at the University. Our work is done on the beautiful U of A campus holding to our core values of inclusion compassion determination adaptability exploration and integrity. Note: All special events employees are required to drive University vehicles daily as part of their primary functions. This position requires evening and weekend work.

• Assists in theloading and unloading of equipment.
• Deliveringneeded things like tables chairs podiums stages linens and other equipmentfrom warehouses to event sites for planned events.
• Sets up andremoves seating and equipment for special events.
• Drive trucks totransport furniture equipment and materials to and from event locations.
• Operate liftgates on trucks as needed for loading and unloading purposes.
• May maintainvehicles and moving equipment.
• Provide supportin maintaining and cleaning equipment as needed.
• Deliverexceptional customer service and assist with client questions or concerns.
• Help maintainaccurate records of deliveries and pickups.

Physical andEnvironmental Requirements:

• Ability to lift move and transport a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to workin extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

• High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
• Must have a valid drivers license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
• Must work evenings and weekends.

• Three (3) years of relevant experience.
