Motor & Generator Winder

$24$34/hr Relocation to Corpus Christi TX Required

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electric Motor Winder / Motor Rewinder to relocate to Corpus Christi Texas. This position is for candidates with hands-on experience rebuilding and rewinding industrial electric motors in a motor repair rewind or electromechanical shop environment.

• Up to $3000 relocation reimbursement
• $1950 housing assistance
• $1000 Day 1 sign-on bonus
• $1500 after 90 days
• $1500 after 180 days

• Wind and rewind AC/DC electric motors
• Rewind stators armatures wound rotors field coils and motor coils
• Perform form winding and random winding
• Record and follow winding data coil specifications and connection diagrams
• Strip old windings and prepare motor cores for rewinding
• Install insulation slot liners wedges coils leads and connections
• Perform copper brazing and coil connections
• Disassemble inspect repair and reassemble industrial motors
• Perform Megger Hi-Pot surge insulation-resistance and core testing
• Work with VPI systems varnish burnout/bake processes and winding equipment
• Read blueprints schematics wiring diagrams and technical specifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial electric motor winding/rewinding experience
• Experience with AC/DC motors stators armatures rotors or field coils
• Experience in an electric motor repair shop rewind shop electromechanical repair facility or rotating-equipment service center
• Must be willing to relocate to Corpus Christi TX
• General manufacturing coil winding steel coil yarn winding or transformer-only experience does not meet the requirement

Pay: $24$34/hour DOE relocation assistance sign-on and retention bonuses.
