Job Summary
Position Overview:
The Motor Coach Operator operates a 46 passenger bus.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Picking passengers up at assigned location without delay.
- Complete a pre/post trip bus inspection for each shift.
- Follow all traffics laws and regulations.
- Complete written reports as required.
- Follow your assigned route making designated stops as required.
- Assists passengers with luggage as needed
- Always ensure safety of the passengers surrounding vehicles as well as pedestrians and bicyclists while operating the vehicle.
- Make sure you have the proper and clean attire.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Drivers License Class A or Class B
- Passenger endorsement
- Airbrakes endorsement
- SPAB or School Bus certificate a plus
- Minimum 2 years driving charter bus
- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background with no felony DWI/DUI controlled substance arrests or convictions; pre-employment drug screen; DOT physical and MVR check
- Must be able to successfully utilize GPS and electronic hours of service tracking technology
- Must be able to drive and work outside in all kinds of weather
- Ability to communicate by telephone two-way radio and in person clearly
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must speak fluent English is a courteous friendly and professional manner with supervisors managers customers guests co-workers and all other persons.
Physical Qualifications:
- Must be willing and physically fit to be able to lift and move baggage (up to 75 lbs) maneuver up and down stairs repeatedly bend kneel and stretch.
- Must be able to remain stationary (sitting) for long extended periods of time
