Job Summary

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer with at least five years of mortgage lending experience to originate develop and manage residential mortgage loan business. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of referral partners extensive knowledge of mortgage products and regulations and a proven track record of meeting production goals while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate residential mortgage loans including conventional FHA VA USDA and jumbo loan products.
  • Generate new business through referrals networking real estate agents builders financial planners and community outreach.
  • Guide borrowers through the mortgage application process from pre-qualification to closing.
  • Analyze borrowers financial information credit profiles income assets and liabilities to determine loan eligibility.
  • Recommend appropriate loan products based on clients financial goals and circumstances.
  • Maintain compliance with federal state and company lending regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with processors underwriters and closing teams to ensure smooth and timely loan closings.
  • Monitor loan pipelines and proactively communicate with clients regarding loan status and documentation requirements.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual loan production goals.
  • Stay current on market trends interest rates mortgage products and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of mortgage lending or mortgage origination experience.
  • Active NMLS license in good standing.
  • Proven history of successful loan production and business development.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage underwriting guidelines and loan programs.
  • Knowledge of federal and state lending regulations including RESPA TILA ECOA and Fair Lending requirements.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with loan origination systems (LOS) CRM platforms and mortgage technology tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Established referral network with real estate professionals and industry partners.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance Business Economics or related field.
  • Experience with both purchase and refinance transactions.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
