Job Summary
Coordinate and complete the closing of first and second mortgage loans in accordance with established policies and procedures regulatory requirements and investor guidelines.
- Prepare all closing documents required to close mortgage loans ensuring documentation is complete and accurate; follow up on any discrepancies.
- Ensure that all loans meet guidelines for quality and regulatory compliance and investor closing standards.
- Maintain communication with customers the processing department closing agents realtors and builders to promote positive business relationships and communicate loan status.
- Establish and maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and investor requirements to ensure quality closing packages and secondary market salability.
- Verify that loans close as scheduled.
- Review files prior to closing to verify that abstracts and/or title opinions are clear; forward copies to all parties involved; review all surveys termite inspections final inspections and verify the accuracy of closing conditions.
- Close loans; input information into the loan origination system prepare additional documentation balance account for closing prepare package for closing agent and/or customer and ensures timely recording of all documents and disbursement of all funds.
- Prepare and explain closing requirements to closing agents and/or customer.
- Protect Bank collateral by reviewing and analyzing title work to verify that all liens are clear.
- Review and verify executed closing packages to ensure all documents are signed appropriately and all fees are included with the package.
- Maintain knowledge of all mortgage lending and compliance policies and procedures.
- Complete all required paperwork and forms in an accurate and timely manner; prepare all required reports.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
- Thorough working knowledge of real estate documentation policies compliance and procedures.
- High level of proficiency with mortgage loan processing and underwriting systems.
- Experience closing mortgage loans in New York and New Jersey required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Excellent customer service skills.

COMPENSATION: $60000 TO $80000 annually.
