Mold Room Technician

Compensation: $21 to $23 an hour

Shift Available:Days 7am to 3pm (Monday - Friday)

Job purpose

Mold Machine Maintenance role is responsible for performing routine maintenance repair and service of mold tooling for facility molding equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities are:

• Follows all documented safety quality and maintenance procedures.
• Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns.
• Understands and interprets blueprints required for work.
• Performs changeovers to the molding equipment as scheduled.
• Performs routine service and mechanical repair on mold tooling.
• Maintain an inventory of spares to support production demand.
• Completes documentation related to the task at hand.
• Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
• Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
• Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
• Maintains excellent safety record.
• Maintains excellent attendance record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties and responsibilities

• Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

Physical requirements

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

• Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
• Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
• Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
• Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather dust noise above 85 dBA occasional odors and moving equipment (frequent)

Working conditions

An individual that works in Mold Machine Maintenance position:

• Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be available on an on-call basis.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical certification in a related field preferred
