Job Summary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Tooling Preparation: to accurately prepare tooling dies for operation.
  • Assembles disassemblespreparesand positions tooling dies for operation; changes die inserts as required.
  • Adds chills andsolubleper tech cards.
  • Removes and/or cleans tooling after operation.
  • Mold Machine Operation: To operate moderately complex molding machines accurately and efficiently using technique cards and established setup procedures. To maintain dimensional integrity of product
  • Sets up monitors and controls mold machine functions.
  • Keeps dies clean during molding operations.
  • Removes wax parts from die inspects for defects and trims.
  • Cleans wax parts as required.
  • Completes logs and records; documents any modifications to process.
  • Meets all production and quality standards.
  • Safety Objective: to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
  • Safely operates all equipment and tools.
  • Identifies and reports safety problems.
  • OTHER (MARGINAL) ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • May train less skilled operators as assigned.

Performs other tasks as directed.

  • May be required to handle hazardous waste.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Skill in wax molding operations as demonstrated by three to six months of competent performance in any wax molding utility leach tank or core/gate cleaner positions is preferredORany equivalent combination of training and work experience.
  • Ability to read interpret and follow specifications on Technique Cards Process Control
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. (addition subtraction multiplication and division)
  • Ability to work alone with limited supervision.
  • Written language skills required.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
  • Training is provided on the job.
  • May be required to complete Hazardous Waste Management Training.
