In this position...

The Ford Supply Chain team is central to our ability to build great vehicles. As a Module Buyer youll source highquality underbody modules while driving cost quality and ontime delivery. Youll help shape a resilient supply chain so Ford can consistently deliver the vehicles our customers want.

The Module Buyer owns sourcing supplier engagement and daytoday purchasing activities for a defined portion of the underbody module category. You will support future model sourcing deliver productivity through Total Value Management (TVM) and manage operational execution to meet program cost quality and delivery targets. Youll partner closely with Product Development (PD) Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) and Manufacturing Planning & Logistics (MP&L) and Finance

What youll do

• Manage cost quality and material efficiencies across the program lifecycle.
• Lead supplier relationship management and a proactive supplier engagement model.
• Develop strategies that support longterm commodity viability and corporate objectives.
• Own program sourcing decisions and be the pointofview (POV) lead for assigned programs securing capacity cost timing and ESG alignment.
• Deliver annual costsavings and distinguish opportunities from pure commercial leverage design changes and supplychain improvements.
• Analyze market supply/demand dynamics and identify supplyrisk mitigation strategies.
• Partner with crossfunctional strategic teams to assess supplybase footprint supplier financial health emerging technologies and market trends.
• Monitor industry trends new assembly technologies and supplier financial/footprint changes to inform strategy.
• Purchasing lead for internal Make vs Buy studies and Bailment Studies.

Youll have...

Minimum

• Bachelors degree in supply chain Business or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5-years of strategic buying or sourcing experience.
• Proficiency with purchasing systems sourcing tools and standard procurement procedures.
• High energy and a strong commitment to continuous learning to develop commodity expertise.
• Selfstarter who is motivated and effective working independently or as part of a crossfunctional team.
• Proven negotiation skills able to create leverage in both offensive and defensive scenarios.
• Excellent persuasive written and verbal communication skills proficient in power point capable of producing proposals reports and plans that secure businessleader commitment.
• Ability to translate organizational needs and priorities into input to category strategies.

Even better you may have

Perferred

• 7 years experience in strategic buying or sourcing within automotive.
• MBA or masters degree in supply chain management or a closely related field.
• Advanced dataanalytics capability to drive sourcing decisions and model scenarios (e.g. Excel Power BI/Tableau).
• Knowledge or previous experience in automotive industry.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99100-$166200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidates skills and experience and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
