Job Summary
What youre responsible for:
- Conducting thorough inspections and diagnostics on various types of heavy equipment including forklifts skid steers loaders and cranes to identify mechanical issues.
- Performing repairs and routine maintenance on equipment including engines transmissions hydraulic systems and electrical systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Maintaining necessary parts tools and supplies to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
- Maintaining detailed records of repairs maintenance work and parts used. Completing service reports and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Adhering to safety regulations and protocols while working on equipment. Follow company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Working closely with other mechanics operators and supervisors to resolve equipment issues and support overall team objectives.
Qualifications :
To join our team:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or in a similar role or Completion of a Diesel Technician program or school.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical hydraulic and electrical systems. Experience with various types of heavy equipment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. ASE OEM-specific certifications) are a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding tasks.
