The Mobile Equipment Mechanic position is responsible for Emergency Service Calls as well as Preventive Maintenance/Repair Work on Heavy Mobile Equipment which Includes Fork trucks Service Trucks Semi-Tractor Trailers Material Handling Cranes Loaders and Locomotive Engines.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Working Knowledge of Heavy Equipment Electronic Diagnostics Systems
- Working Knowledge of Heavy Equipment Hydraulic Systems and Trouble Shooting
- Working Knowledge of Gasoline and Diesel Engines in Heavy Equipment Applications
- 2 year Associates Degree or Vocational Tech Certificate in Heavy Mobile Equipment Maintenance
- Preventive/Predictive Training
- 3 years Field Service with Heavy Equipment Dealership
- Strong Desire for Self Improvement
