Job Description

The director will lead and direct the Civil Engineering Technician Program under limited supervision including establishing program goals operational procedures and long-range work plans; managing program resources; and ensuring alignment with institutional industry and accreditation requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Two full-time years of verified related paid occupational experience in civil engineering and/or land surveying filed performing duties as a technician engineer or surveyor. A Bachelors degree may substitute for one year of experience; an Associates degree may substitute for six months of experience. Degree must be in civil engineering technology land surveying technology or civil engineering.

• One year of this work experience shall be within the last five years The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in Civil Engineering within the last five years.

Other Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota Statesvehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)

This is a part-time (.5 FTE 20 hours per week) position. Work hours are flexible within the departments standard operating hours of 8:00 AM4:30 PM MondayFriday.

Yes; May be eligible for up to 2 day(s) of telework per week depending on departmental needs.
