Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Patient Handling & Restraint Safely managing a variety of animals from small pets (dogs & cats) to farm animals and livestock (equine cattle and more).
- Clinic Maintenance Assisting with cleaning laundry and general clinic upkeep to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Medication Administration & Prescriptions Administering medications and preparing prescriptions as directed.
- Supporting the Veterinary Team Assisting our Veterinarians and Technicians with procedures treatments and patient care.
- Taking on Projects Tackling tasks as assignedwith a smile of course!
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years of mixed animal experience preferred (veterinary setting not required).
- Must be a bright friendly and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients visitors veterinarians and other hospital staff. (Its okay if you talk to animals too!)
- Must be able to sit stand walk and move freely for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds
- Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
