Mission Advancement Officer
The Mission Advancement Officer must identify and develop new individual and business leads in order to maintain the continuity of the Vision 2030 Capital Campaign while working to expand the donor support base in all phases of fund development. All activities will be conducted in accordance with the institutional goals and ideals.
In addition this position will be active in the participation of planning cultivation and solicitation of donors to support efforts and goals of the Mission Advancement team.
Candidates will be invited to demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian Catholic Benedictine mission of the University of Mary.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate and execute cultivation and solicitation visits with constituents in your portfolio to successfully reach individual goals and to support the goals of the Mission Advancement Team.
- Lead organize supervise and execute components of the Vision 2030 Capital Campaign.
- Utilize business development and networking skills to give direction and support to programs at the University of Mary. (Exp on-line degrees certification programs etc.)
- Work directly with the Director of Alumni to fulfill fund raising goals with Alumni
- Attend staff meetings conducted to review current activities and progress and attend special events sponsored by the Office of Mission Advancement
- Be an ambassador of the University of Mary and perform other related duties as requested and assigned
- Bachelors degree required with a minimum of five years of work experience at a non-profit agency specifically in the field of fundraising and development work. Project management and event coordination experience needed.
- Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities.
- Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality inthe Office of Mission Advancement and throughout the university in accord with Saint Benedicts admonition that all be received as Christ.
- Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills

- Strong leadership skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work with broad spectrum of individuals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to handle multiple projects in an overlapping time frame
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends; position may involve travel
- Experience in fund raising and campaign planning preferred
- Current and valid drivers license
