Mining Plant Electrician

The Plant Electrician oversees complex electrical troubleshooting system upgrades and control system support. Ensures high reliability of plant electrical systems. May mentor junior electricians.

• Diagnose and repair high- and low-voltage systems motor controls and drives.
• Install and maintain PLCs VFDs and control circuits.
• Lead electrical projects and ensure code compliance.
• Mentor Electrician I and II personnel and support cross-training.
• Interface with automation engineering and maintenance teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and update panel schematics.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3-5 years of industrial or heavy manufacturing electrical experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex schematics and control diagrams.
• Familiarity with Rockwell Siemens or similar PLC platforms.
• Licensed or certified as a journeyman electrician preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
• High level of safety and quality.
• Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times) work in outside conditions during all seasons climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders work from elevated platforms use hand tools (shovel hammer wrenches etc.).
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge - Preferred.
• Forklift experience - Preferred.
• Computer Software - Preferred.
• Warehouse experience - Preferred.
