Job Summary
Durham Academy (DA) is accepting applications for aMiddle School Spanish Teacheras a member of theWorld Languages Department. This position will be a one-year posting for the year 2026-2027 with the possibility of renewal. Duties include teaching four sections of Spanish to students in grades 7 and 8 and serving as an advisor to a group of up to 12 students. The DA World Languages Department uses the ACTFL framework to guide instruction. Preference will be given to candidates who have familiarity with ACTFL and with giving feedback in a competency-based system. Regardless of proficiency in either of these approaches candidates should be willing to learn about how to incorporate each into their practice.
Candidates should have a bachelors degree.An advanced degree or other commensurate experience is preferred.This full-time position will be for the 202627 school year.
