Position Details

Charlotte Country Day School seeks a long-term leave replacement for a Middle School Spanish Teacher for approximately five weeks during theschool year. This teacher will be responsible for collaboratively designing curriculum teaching Spanish and creating a dynamic learning environment for students. We are interested in candidates who are excited to work with and support high-school aged students have experience with multi-level and differentiated instruction and demonstrate a commitment to student-centered learning.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Teaching a course load of five sections of Spanish and one advisory in the Middle School in a leave replacement capacity.
• Collaborating with teachers and colleagues in the development evaluation and revision of curriculum materials and programs.
• Attending meetings to maintain professional practice.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Bachelors degree or post-graduate work in Spanish Education or a related subject area.
• Teaching Experience
  • Experience teaching Spanish preferably to middle-school students.
• Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Instructional Technology

• Understanding of instructional technology.
