Job Summary
Grimmer Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Mathematics Education or related field
• Licensure: Valid Indiana Teaching License

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum goals.
- Teach mathematical concepts to students in grades 6-8 including but not limited to algebra geometry and statistics.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular quizzes tests and assignments providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Create and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect collaboration and a growth mindset.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular lessons and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and staff to foster a supportive learning community.
- Participate in school events meetings and committees as required.
- Stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.

Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
- Previous experience teaching middle school students preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction.
