Job Summary
Position Summary
The Interventionist provides targeted academic support to students requiring additional assistance in reading and/or math. This position focuses on delivering evidence-based interventions monitoring student progress and collaborating with staff and families to improve student achievement within an MTSS/RTI framework.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 targeted small-group and one-on-one interventions using evidence-based district-adopted programs
- Use assessment data to identify student needs monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies in real time.
- Implement research-based instructional practices aligned to core curriculum standards.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and intervention team
- Actively participate in meetings to support student growth.
- Communicate student progress clearly and consistently with caregivers.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education or related field
- Valid state teaching certification
- M.S. teaching experience preferred
- Training in literacy and/or math intervention strategies preferred
- Strong data analysis collaboration and communication skills
