Middle School Interventionist 2026-27 School Year

Position Summary

The Interventionist provides targeted academic support to students requiring additional assistance in reading and/or math. This position focuses on delivering evidence-based interventions monitoring student progress and collaborating with staff and families to improve student achievement within an MTSS/RTI framework.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 targeted small-group and one-on-one interventions using evidence-based district-adopted programs
• Use assessment data to identify student needs monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies in real time.
• Implement research-based instructional practices aligned to core curriculum standards.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and intervention team
• Actively participate in meetings to support student growth.
• Communicate student progress clearly and consistently with caregivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Education or related field
• Valid state teaching certification
• M.S. teaching experience preferred
• Training in literacy and/or math intervention strategies preferred
• Strong data analysis collaboration and communication skills
