In Middle School Literature and Composition courses youhave the opportunity toengage students in an exploration of grammatical structures literary devices and the art of addition you will guide students in discussing literature and poetry whichprovidebeautiful examples of language thatconveysthe heart ofthe humanexperience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth goodness and beauty.
Provide appropriate academic support to students monitor progress and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
Uphold and model the culture policies and expectations of Great Hearts including dress code conduct and safety procedures contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
Communicate clearly and professionally with families initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration school events assigned duties and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
Required/Preferred Education:
Bachelors (or higher) degree is required for a lead teaching role
Certification is not required for general education roles.
Candidates must pass TxDPS background clearance.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
