Job Summary
Position Summary
RayTek is seeking a Mid-Senior Project Controls Specialist to support project planning scheduling cost management and performance reporting across one or more government programs. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in project controls best practices hands-on Primavera P6 expertise and experience working within DOE and/or DOD contracting environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop maintain and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Support cost control and Earned Value Management (EVM) activities including variance analysis forecasting and performance reporting.
- Partner with project managers and control account managers to build and maintain budgets work breakdown structures (WBS) and baselines.
- Track project performance metrics and communicate risks trends and recommendations to leadership.
- Support baseline change control and maintain the integrity of cost and schedule data.
- Prepare periodic project controls reports and deliverables in line with contract and customer requirements.
- Contribute to internal and external reviews audits and process improvement efforts.
- Support cost/schedule integration using Cobra.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Construction Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 510 years of project controls experience.
- Experience supporting DOE and/or DOD contracts or programs.
- Hands-on proficiency with Primavera P6 required.
- General familiarity with EVM principles and practices.
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site at ORNL and obtain/maintain any required site access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cobra
- Prior experience at a DOE national laboratory or on DOD programs
Work Environment
On-site position at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Candidates must be able to work within a secured facility and comply with site access and safety requirements. Clearance is not required for this role however candidates will also be required to complete a background check as part of RayTeks hiring process.
