Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Project Management Specialist (Level 3) to join the E-7 Production and Modification Team in support of the United States Air Force (USAF) Rapid Prototype Program located in Tukwila WA.

This individual will join a team of Project and Program Managers supporting mobilization execution and development for a rapidly growing product line. As Project Manager you will work across business units as part of a One Boeing team supporting E-7 production and modification fostering partnerships with IPT leaders and their teams to solve complex problems and establish the platform for years to come. Experience with government or derivative platforms will suit this role well as will a proven record of working quickly in a team environment to achieve targets. This role will directly contribute to the success of the Rapid Prototype program for the United States Air Force and its global allies. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position along with the ability to build strong relationships collaborate in a cross-functional environment and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently develops coordinates integrates analyzes and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies analyses (trend variance impact) and risk assessments to determine impacts and constraints involving product development production rates process improvement program initiatives.
  • Creates reports metrics monitors change activity and communicates and updates plans regularly throughout the lifecycle of the program or projects.
  • Works to improve project management processes business systems and implement best practices.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop recovery plans and ensure all project control systems are in place to for ongoing support to stakeholders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
  • 3 years of experience in using advanced features in Microsoft Excel including data analysis and Power Point
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data analytics tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in engineering business or technical field
  • Experience supporting a modification manufacturing or production operations environment
  • Familiarity working with regulatory agencies (DCMA FAA DOD/DOW and/or Military)
  • 3 years of experience within the Supply Chain Finance Engineering or Program Management functions
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and time-critical constraints while influencing others outside of your organization
