Mid-Level Fire Protection Engineer

About the Position:We are seeking an experienced mid-level Fire Protection Engineering Professional to join our growing design team in any of the following Pond offices or remotely:Atlanta GA Headquarters; Atlanta GA Cobb; Atlanta GA Downtown; Augusta GA; Charlotte NC; Colorado Springs CO; Columbia SC; Honolulu HI; Huntsville AL; Jacksonville FL; Mobile AL; New Orleans LA; Houston TX; San Diego CA; Savannah GA; Tampa should have 2-5 years experience with an EIT license working towards a PE license in Fire Protection will focus on design and production of fire protection engineering project construction documents or reports under the general supervision of Senior Our Team:Our Professional Design team is engaged in projects throughout the southeast the nation and the world and our existing client base includes transportation oil and gas renewables government (local state and federal) Department of Defense private development and water resources and restoration. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as the Fire Protection Engineering design lead on projects. This includes making Fire Protection Engineering design decisions on suppression systems fire alarm systems mass notification systems and assisting Architecture with Life Safety accurate legible and well thought out design Fire Protection Engineering design with other disciplines; highlighting design components that will impact the other disciplines design so that the overall design is constructable without project kick off meetings and coordination independently with minimal supervision; is self-motivated and has assigned tasks in accordance with company QC with clients as needed and defined by clients and/or contractors as needed on specific to work well within a team environment positive attitude multi-task and self-motivated to produce high quality and desire to learn and grow and/or Experience:Bachelors degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in Fire Protection Engineering Fire Protection Engineering Technology Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.4 years related experience and/or Licenses Registrations:Engineer-In-Training license Engineer license Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet preferred but can be Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position required the individual to use the computer working at a desk in either an office or cubicle; must be able to talk and hear reach with hands and arms lift up to 10 pounds stand sit and walk must have close and color vision use depth and peripheral vision be able to adjust Requirements:Occasional attendance at meetings and other off-site events requires the ability to provide reliable transportation. Position may require occasional travel to domestic or foreign locations. Must maintain a current valid drivers license and proof of insurance. The position may require travel internationally and as such the capability to travel freely on a passport or other official document.
