Mid-Level Automotive Service Technician

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience certifications and productivity.

This position is ideal for a technician who has solid automotive repair experience and is looking to continue growing their skills in a fast-paced dealership environment. We provide ongoing training opportunities for advancement and the support needed to build a successful long-term career.

• Perform vehicle inspections diagnostics maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair brake steering and suspension systems.
• Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes tire rotations and fluid exchanges.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and identify maintenance or repair recommendations.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment repair information systems and service tools effectively.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
• Communicate vehicle conditions and repair recommendations with service advisors and management.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership quality standards.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

• Valid Michigan Automotive Technician Certification in:
  • Brakes
  • Steering & Suspension
• Minimum 35 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced shop environment.

• Additional Michigan State Certifications and/or ASE Certifications.
• Experience with engine performance diagnostics and electrical systems.
• Wheel alignment experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Full-Time

• Monday through Friday
• Occasional Saturdays as needed

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Compensation is based on experience certifications productivity and overall qualifications.
