The Microsoft Purview Engineer plays a key role in implementing and managing enterprise security and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview. This position focuses on protecting sensitive data enforcing information protection policies and ensuring regulatory compliance across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

Job Summary:
The Microsoft Purview Engineer plays a key role in implementing and managing enterprise security and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview. This position focuses on protecting sensitive data enforcing information protection policies and ensuring regulatory compliance across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Purview tools for data loss prevention (DLP) insider risk management and information protection.
- Configure sensitivity labels encryption policies and access controls to secure data across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Integrate Purview with Microsoft Defender Sentinel and other security platforms to enhance threat detection and response.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents related to data access and usage.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity compliance and IT teams to align Purview configurations with organizational security policies.
- Provide technical guidance and training on Purviews security and compliance capabilities.
Educational Qualifications & Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview Microsoft 365 Compliance Center and Azure security services.
- Strong understanding of data protection identity and access management and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR HIPAA).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Sentinel and Microsoft Information Protection.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. SC-400 SC-200 AZ-500) are highly desirable.
