M&H Valve Material Analyst

Job Summary
In this role you will be required to perform regular inventory audits transactions and analyses to ensure consistent stock levels. To ensure success as a Material Analyst you should be highly organized and have knowledge of supply chain management software and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- 1st Responsibility Ensuring personal safety.
- Wear appropriate PPE which may include respiratory protection hearing protection foot hand head and eye protection.
- Proactively promotes The McWane Way principles.
DEPARTMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
PLAN
- Analyze and review supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.
- Perform regular stock checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain and update inventory records.
- Perform regular audits to ensure inventory integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Investigate (root cause) and resolve inventory discrepancies and errors.
SOURCE
- Create Purchase Orders to cover shortages.
- Monitor past dues and contact suppliers for revised delivery dates
- Investigate and correct inventory variances.
MAKE
- Coordinate with Planning/Production to maintain accurate productions schedules.
- Develop proposals to improve productivity
ADDITIONAL
- Develop and monitor metrics related to inventory accuracy.
- Work with cross functional teams to execute yearly physical inventory.
- Obsolete inventory coordination with cross functional team.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding inventory storage and handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory area to prevent accidents and damage.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience in Inventory Control in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of Material/Logistics/Manufacturing processes and material flow.
- Any major ERP/MRP experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Sound decision making and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate others to accomplish goals.
- Strong work ethic integrity and flexibility.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Microsoft Office Applications (Excel/Outlook) experience preferred.

- Physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing lifting up to 50 pounds balancing walking standing stooping and handling tools and materials.
- Must wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes glasses gloves & hearing protection.
