Purpose of Job

The Manager Sales is a role that will mainly support Sasols Fabric Home Care and I&I (FHCII) business in the North American. The Manager Sales is primary responsible for the optimization of sales volumes prices market share and contribution margin for designated application sectors through sales of Sasols alcohols alkylates and surfactants products. The role is part of a local and global team of Sales Managers collectively focused on delivering market specific strategies and earnings.

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform direct guide and coordinate the commercial activities with and for customers within North America.
  • Establish strong customer relationships and achieve superior customer satisfaction to ensure customer loyalty and profitable growth
  • Assist and support the execution of sales and marketing strategies for FHCII markets
  • Optimization of sales volumes prices and contribution margin for sales into the FHCII sector.
  • Implement pricing strategy within agreed guidelines
  • Deliver sales to support growth targets and budgets based on acquired identified market opportunities.
  • Define and communicate value propositions to customers
  • Drive the negotiation and execution of contracts with customers
  • Acquire provide and document market information from customers
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts
  • Establish excellent internal cross-functional relationships with R&D S&M Business Commercialization to coordinate and manage all aspects of daily business and sales
  • Work with Senior Manager Sales to negotiate/execute/manage contracts with Customers Distributors Agents Consultants etc.

Formal Education
  • Bachelors Degree (preference for chemistry engineering or commercial)
  • Commercial qualification MBA/MBL is a plus
Working Experience
  • 5-15 years of relevant experience in the Chemical Industry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suits (Power Point Excel PowerBI) CRM tools and SAP
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
