Position Summary:

The Manager Cardiovascular Imaging provides operational strategic and administrative leadership for non-invasive cardiovascular imaging services across Covenant Health. This position is responsible for developing implementing and managing cardiovascular imaging programs including echocardiography nuclear cardiology cardiac CT cardiac MRI and associated outpatient cardiovascular services. The Manager partners with physician leadership hospital administration and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care operational excellence regulatory compliance financial stewardship and service line growth.

Responsibilities

Program Development and Strategic Growth

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand cardiovascular imaging services across Covenant Health facilities.
  • Establish and advance echocardiography nuclear cardiology cardiac CT and cardiac MRI programs.
  • Partner with physicians and leadership to define clinical protocols care pathways and quality benchmarks aligned with industry standards.
  • Develop business plans including volume projections staffing models capital requests and financial analyses.
  • Lead planning and buildout of expanded outpatient cardiovascular clinic services.
  • Evaluate recommend and implement advanced imaging technologies and capabilities.

Operations and Quality Management

  • Co-lead operations of cardiovascular imaging departments to ensure efficient workflows and exceptional quality.
  • Monitor KPIs including volume turnaround time equipment utilization patient satisfaction and quality metrics.
  • Lead accreditation efforts and maintain compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain policies procedures and clinical protocols.
  • Oversee equipment lifecycle management maintenance planning and capital replacement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS state licensure radiation safety HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.
  • Monitor financial performance and achieve budget targets.
  • Partner with revenue cycle coding billing and compliance teams to optimize reimbursement.
  • Drive cost efficiencies through resource optimization workflow redesign and supply management.

Leadership and Staff Development

  • Recruit develop retain and lead multidisciplinary imaging teams.
  • Promote a culture of accountability safety quality and continuous improvement.
  • Establish competency frameworks continuing education and career development pathways.
  • Conduct performance management activities and ensure compliance with required certifications and training.
  • Maintain strong relationships with frontline staff through visible leadership and engagement.

Physician and Stakeholder Relations

  • Serve as the primary operational liaison to cardiologists cardiac surgeons and referring physicians.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with hospital administrators and service line leaders.
  • Represent cardiovascular imaging in strategic planning capital committees and organizational initiatives.
  • Support community outreach and referral development programs.
  • Follows policies procedures and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Bachelors degree in Cardiovascular Technology Radiologic Technology Nursing Healthcare Administration or a related clinical or healthcare field required.

Minimum Experience:

Seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in cardiovascular imaging diagnostic imaging or a related healthcare environment required. Experience managing multiple imaging modalities preferred.

Licensure Requirement:

None. Preferred credentials include RDCS RCIS CNMT RT(N) RT(R)(CT) or equivalent.
