Job Summary
Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerPosition Scope/Summary: The Manufacturing / Process Engineering Leader provides technical leadership across manufacturing systems process validation optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. This role spans applied engineering execution through strategic multi-site leadership with increasing responsibility for design governance Six Sigma deployment risk ownership and business impact. The position serves as both a hands-on problem solver and strategic technical authority influencing outcomes across areas sites and the Requirements:Engineering Design Standards & Technical ExecutionDevelops manufacturing drawings fixtures tooling and equipment designs progressing to design approval authority best-practice definition and governanceApplies and leads Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt through Black Belt mastery) including coaching and enterprise deploymentSupports leads and defines process validation activities (IQ/OQ and beyond) scaling to enterprise validation strategy ownershipDrives process optimization from lean methods and throughput improvements to strategic enterprise-wide gainsProject Program & Portfolio LeadershipLeads small to medium engineering projects and validation effortsProgresses to managing complex projects large programs and capital initiativesOwns portions of VIP initiatives advances to capital planning and portfolio-level ownershipAligns technical programs with business strategy capacity and investment planningRoot Cause Analysis & Problem SolvingParticipates in leads and governs RCA activities from defined issues to systemic multi-site investigationsResolves increasingly complex ambiguous and cross-functional problemsEstablishes escalation paths best practices and enterprise RCA standardsApplies structured problem-solving to deliver durable scalable solutionsTechnical Mastery & Subject Matter ExpertiseApplies foundational manufacturing and strong system knowledge at early stagesDevelops deep domain expertise and becomes a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME)Advances to manufacturing expert and enterprise authority across multiple systemsSets technical direction standards and governance frameworksAuthority Autonomy & Decision-MakingLeads technical solutions and owns recommendations for assigned scopeOperates with high autonomy progressing to fully autonomous and strategic authoritySets standards defines strategy and provides direction-setting leadershipManages increasing decision complexity including high multi-variable enterprise-impact decisionsCommunication & InfluenceCommunicates effectively across cross-functional teams and departmentsInfluences teams and outcomes without formal authorityEngages with site and senior leadership to shape technical directionSustains enterprise-level influence through expertise credibility and resultsScope Risk & Business ImpactLeads projects ranging from medium complexity to large capital programs and portfoliosDelivers measurable improvements in cost quality yield and throughputDrives significant strategic business impact at area site and multi-site levelsProactively balances trade-offs and owns risk decisions using an enterprise risk lensImpacts value streams sites and enterprise performance outcomesEnvironmental Working Conditions:Manufacturing production and industrial environments with a blend of office and floor presence Regular interaction with operating equipment tooling and production systems Periods of extended standing walking or on-floor support Occasional travel for site or multi-site responsibilities Use of appropriate PPE and adherence to all safety and regulatory requirementsQualifications:Bachelors degree in Engineering required; Masters degree preferred for senior and enterprise roles Progressive experience in manufacturing process engineering or industrial operations Demonstrated expertise in Six Sigma validation process optimization and capital project execution Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority
