Develop and implement coatings that achieve challenging cosmetic u0026 functional requirements in our highly visible enclosure - Work with Apples Industrial Design and Product Design teams to create working specifications related to coating processesn- Collaborate with premier equipment and process manufacturing partners to create next-generation processes and test limits of process capabilitiesn- Determine feasibility to achieve aggressive goals evaluating manufacturing processes at early stages of product developmentn- Plan and execute studies to confirm process capability to achieve technical goals for high volume programsn- Present analysis to key decision makers that will be used to make commercial and design commitments n- Work directly with overseas manufacturers implementing solutions meeting high-volume commercial goalsn- Periodic domestic and overseas travel expected (up to 30%)n

BS in Materials Science Physics Mechanical Engineering or equivalentn5 years of experience in hands-on development of PVD and CVD coatings in Ru0026D and/or production environmentnExpertise relating material properties to design requirements process drivers and test methodologiesnExpertise using advanced analytical techniques (such as SEM EDS FTIR TEM Ellipsometry u0026 XPS) to characterize film quality or troubleshoot failure modesnAbility to lead a development program to a schedule from research phase into manufacturing execution in a matrixed organizationnExcellent problem solving skills and the ability to drive root cause analysis and corrective action activitiesnExperience designing thin-film stacks tailored to specific functions establishing and validating coating processes for mass productionnHistory developing coating for cosmetic surfacesnAbility to travel internationally up to 30%n
