Are you passionate about industrial automation manufacturing systems and driving the factory of the future We are seeking an MES Automation Engineer to support the advancement of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) industrial automation and smart manufacturing technologies across our North American operations.
This role is ideal for a technically driven engineer who thrives at the intersection of manufacturing automation data analytics and systems integration. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing MES platforms improving manufacturing visibility and efficiency and supporting enterprise-wide automation initiatives.
- Support the integration development and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across North America
- Assist with MES design programming installation upgrades maintenance and implementation activities
- Ensure MES systems comply with ISA-95 standards and support operational excellence initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define MES user requirements and business needs
- Develop automation and MES solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency process visibility and operational analytics
- Support SQL database administration performance optimization and data integrity initiatives
- Maintain manufacturing network infrastructure supporting MES applications and connected systems
- Support ERP integrations including production scheduling machine performance labor tracking and manufacturing data collection
- Assist with controls integration and automation support for capital projects and plant operations
- Support standardization of automation and controls systems across North American facilities
- Contribute to upgrades that improve automation cybersecurity safety and operational performance
- Maintain consolidated controls inventory and documentation across manufacturing sites
- Partner with site teams to improve manufacturing automation and process efficiency
- Support long-term MES and automation capital planning initiatives
- Stay current on emerging technologies and trends related to MES industrial automation AI and manufacturing analytics
- Share best practices and support multi-site collaboration efforts across the organization
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Mechatronics or related Engineering Technology field
- 35 years of experience in industrial manufacturing controls systems and MES integration
- Experience with MES platforms such as Inductive Automation Ignition and Sepasoft MES required
- Strong programming and database experience including Python scripting SQL queries SQL agents and database administration
- Experience integrating MES with ERP systems and RESTful APIs preferred
- Knowledge of industrial automation and controls systems including PLCs Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Siemens Wonderware and Win-CC
- Experience with process modeling manufacturing analytics or AI technologies is a plus
- Strong communication collaboration and project management skills
- Ability to travel approximately 25% as needed

The salary range for this position is
$87800-$109800 . Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position candidates work experience education/training job-related skills internal peer equity as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state) if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
